BigBasin is a materials company working with poorly soluble actives through colloid and dispersion stabilization. Without modifying the molecule, we stabilize actives in biodegradable carriers and improve bioavailability, based in the Daedeok Innopolis R&D zone in Daejeon.
Vision
BigBasin manages the solubility behavior of substances through colloidalization and dispersion. Without changing the molecule, we cross the boundary between hydrophobic and hydrophilic, making materials that stay stable in storage inside a biodegradable carrier and are released and degraded as designed in use. We are building a materials platform that reaches from injectable formulation of poorly soluble drugs to cosmetics and fragrance.
Brand story
A basin is a vessel that holds and protects, and also a great hollow where water gathers.
Our colloids act as tiny basins. They hold poorly soluble actives without modifying the molecule, and carry them where they are needed.
A small material that holds a big change. That is the promise carried in the name BigBasin.
